Registered Nurse – NICU/HDU

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide high‑standard clinical care for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU) at Jeddah Healthcare. The role involves assessing nursing needs, planning and evaluating care, and acting as a positive role model while upholding the organization’s nursing values.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Communicate compassionately with patients and families, addressing concerns promptly.
• Administer oral, sub‑cutaneous and IV medications, record them accurately and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialised equipment, record vital signs and escalate changes.
• Perform wound dressing changes, insert catheters, cannulate and start IV lines.
• Provide bedside care, educate patients and relatives on post‑treatment care, and participate in discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Uphold Ministry of Health guidelines and hospital standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification.
• Experience working in NICU or HDU settings.
• Ability to act as a role model and uphold professional nursing values.
• Strong communication skills with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Commitment to following MOH guidelines and hospital policies.
