Registrar Emergency Medicine – Makkah

About the role

The Registrar Emergency Medicine provides comprehensive medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room in Makkah. The role involves rapid assessment, treatment initiation, and safe discharge while adhering to Saudi Ministry of Health regulations and hospital standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise ER residents and collaborate with nursing staff for patient triage.
• Perform full patient assessments, including history, physical exam, and diagnostic investigations.
• Initiate appropriate medical treatment and manage surgical, orthopedic, medical, and pediatric emergencies.
• Stabilize critical cases and refer patients to specialists when needed.
• Document all procedures according to hospital and insurance regulations.
• Participate in departmental education and training activities.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and follow‑up instructions.

Required profile

• Registration with the Saudi Medical Council and a current Saudi medical practice license.
• University medical degree and a Master’s degree in Emergency Medicine or Intensive Care.
• Minimum of 5 years (60 months) of relevant clinical experience.
• Compliance with professional medical ethics, CBAHI/JCIA standards, and Ministry of Health laws.
