Representative - Outside Sales

About the role

The Representative – Outside Sales is responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing existing accounts to grow sales and margin for the company's products and services. The role focuses on face‑to‑face selling, account management, and delivering presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to customers at all organizational levels.

Key responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, or solutions.
• Execute and expand assigned account plans developed with management.
• Drive billing margin initiatives through value‑added services and marketing programs.
• Prospect new customers via cold calling and referral channels.
• Communicate with customers to understand requirements and present suitable offerings.
• Demonstrate product functions and utilities based on customer needs.
• Maintain ongoing communication to ensure satisfaction and resolve post‑sale issues.
• Inform existing customers of new products, services, and enhancements.
• Utilize sales management tools for planning and documenting opportunities.
• Develop product knowledge through supplier training and joint sales calls.
• Prepare quotations independently or with the sales support team.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior sales experience, preferably in outside sales; two years of industry experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 50‑75% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work flexibly, both independently and within a team.
