Research & Development Specialist (R&D)

About the role

The Research & Development Specialist will lead the identification, analysis, and execution of innovative projects that improve operational performance and support the company’s strategic objectives. This role bridges technical research with practical implementation across construction and engineering initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify investment opportunities, projects, and tenders, analysing requirements for continuous improvement.
• Conduct research on execution methodologies, construction techniques, materials, and emerging technologies.
• Evaluate new technologies, prepare feasibility studies, perform risk assessments and provide recommendations.
• Analyse project performance, develop execution methodologies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with technical, engineering and operational teams to align R&D activities with project needs.
• Review tender scopes, deliver technical and financial recommendations, and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Monitor industry best practices, KPIs and support digital transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in R&D or related fields.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical abilities and professional presentation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation capabilities.
