Sales Engineer – Instrumentation

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Engineer specialized in instrumentation to drive sales and provide technical proposals for a wide range of process control products. The role involves close interaction with customers in power, water, refinery and petrochemical sectors to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed proposals for field instrumentation such as pressure, differential pressure, temperature devices, flow meters, wireless process instruments, and gas/liquid analyzers.
• Develop proposals for level instrumentation including GWR, level gauges, radar transmitters and displacer switches.
• Create offers for flow instrumentation like orifice plates, venturi meters, pitot tubes and restriction orifices.
• Draft solutions for field interface products such as data acquisition systems, controllers, signal conditioners, junction boxes, terminals and power supplies.
• Identify current and future customer requirements, respond to technical queries and attend online technical meetings.
• Manage bid documents, follow‑up on submitted bids, and prepare regular sales reports.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
• 5‑6 years of experience preparing proposals for process control instruments in power, water, refinery or petrochemical industries.
• Proven experience selling brands such as Yokogawa, Emerson, ABB, Siemens, Magnetrol, Vega, Endress+Hauser or Honeywell.

Required skills

• Knowledge of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow meters, wireless sensors).
• Expertise in level instrumentation (GWR, radar transmitters, displacer switches).
• Familiarity with flow measurement devices (orifice plates, venturi meters, pitot tubes).
• Understanding of field interface equipment (data acquisition, controllers, signal conditioners).
