Sales Engineer – Marine & Shipyard

About the role

Alfa Laval Middle East Ltd, a Cyprus-registered company with regional headquarters in Dubai and offices in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt, is looking for a Sales Engineer in Al Khobar. The role suits an engineer or science graduate with strong marine industry knowledge and a solid network, driving sales in the Marine and Shipyard business.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell Alfa Laval products and services following established sales processes.
• Analyse market insights and customer buying behaviour to plan sales according to division strategy and targets.
• Find and manage leads and turn them into business opportunities, owning the lead-to-cash process.
• Manage documents for new-building ships from quote to delivery, including technical documents, manuals, design documents, change requests and OSP.
• Visit customers, hold meetings and understand their needs while highlighting the value of the products.
• Manage the customer grid, build and maintain a customer network and use the CRM tool consistently.
• Offer solutions that match customer needs and values, and act as an active member of the Marine service team.
• Drive digitalisation initiatives to expand presence and customer engagement, and coordinate with the Service Department, Service Operations and the International Marine Service Organization.

Required profile

• Engineer or science graduate with 4-5 years of experience in shipyards, shipbuilding and the marine business.
• Relevant engineering degree in Marine or Mechanical engineering.
• Proven competence in industry, products and applications, and business acumen.
• Strong networking within the marine industry.

• Systems and solutions engineering knowledge, technical and costing.
• High proficiency in Alfa Laval core marine technologies.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
