Security Systems Engineer (Access Control & CCTV)

About the role

DeepSource Technologies is looking for a Security Systems Engineer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to operate, maintain and troubleshoot Siemens access control and CCTV systems on site. The role covers installation, commissioning, configuration and ongoing maintenance of security and control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain Siemens access control and CCTV systems.
• Install, configure, commission and test control and security system components.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, communication, networking and system integration issues.
• Maintain access control controllers, readers, door interfaces, credentials, alarms and related equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, recording systems, video management platforms and network equipment.
• Diagnose failures and carry out corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Configure, parameterise and programme systems, and support integration with other site control and management systems.
• Review electrical, control, instrumentation, network and system architecture drawings, and carry out testing, commissioning and performance checks.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, modifications, incidents and troubleshooting, and prepare technical reports and improvement recommendations.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and site teams, and ensure work follows company procedures, technical standards and HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control, Electronics or Automation engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in control, automation, security or integrated site systems.
• Demonstrated practical experience with Siemens security, access control or CCTV systems.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently under site conditions.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding ability.
• Understanding of control panels, controllers, I/O systems, communication networks and system interfaces.
• Experience with commissioning, configuration, testing and maintenance.
• Reading of technical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics and system architecture diagrams.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and Ethernet/IP networks is an advantage; experience integrating security systems with centralised monitoring platforms and Siemens-related training or certification is also preferred.
