Senior Cost Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to lead cost planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting for major airport and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. You will provide accurate cost information, evaluate commercial impacts of changes, and support project leadership in maintaining financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost estimates, approved budgets, cost plans and control baselines.
• Support preparation of funding requirements and phased expenditure plans.
• Monitor budget utilization, identify overruns or underruns, and flag emerging variances.
• Align cost data with the project scope, WBS, control accounts and work packages.
• Track committed costs, actual expenditures, accruals, forecasts and final cost projections.
• Analyze cost performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed cost variance analyses and mitigation measures.
• Implement consistent cost control processes across all project packages.
• Produce periodic cost forecasts, EAC, ETC and monthly cost dashboards.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in cost engineering or cost control on large infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts and variance analysis in a complex, multi‑discipline environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving.
