Senior Country Business Leader – Surgery (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

The Senior Country Business Leader for Surgery will be responsible for driving growth, sales and profitability of BD’s surgical portfolio across Saudi Arabia. Reporting to regional leadership, the role combines strategic planning, market execution and team development to achieve agreed revenue, gross profit and operating income targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the country‑wide business strategy for the Surgery portfolio, aligning with BD’s global objectives.
• Lead, develop and inspire a high‑performing sales and marketing team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Establish and strengthen partnerships with ministries, government bodies, key opinion leaders and other healthcare decision‑makers.
• Own demand planning, inventory forecasting, annual budgeting and ongoing financial forecasts to ensure accurate sales and profitability management.
• Promote BD’s surgical products and services to opinion leaders and end‑users through the agreed go‑to‑market model.
• Identify new growth opportunities by monitoring market intelligence, emerging trends and customer needs.
• Conduct market research, business analytics and performance assessments to drive data‑based decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare commercial leadership, preferably within medical‑device or surgery markets.
• Proven ability to lead and develop cross‑functional teams in a results‑oriented environment.
• Demonstrated success in building relationships with government entities, ministries of health and key opinion leaders.
• Strong analytical, financial planning and forecasting capabilities.
