Senior Director - Ethics & Compliance, KSA

About the role

Lilly is looking for a Senior Director of Ethics & Compliance for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The role leads the integration of high performance with high integrity in Lilly KSA, partnering with the KSA management team, the Intercontinental Hub (ICH), the IBU and the Global Ethics & Compliance teams to implement the Global 7 elements E&C program and build a Speak Up culture. It works closely with the KSA E&C manager and other affiliates to give expert ethics and compliance guidance on risk assessment, policies, communications, training and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Build effective compliance controls into governance, business processes and training, and keep them understood by the business
• Develop and run dynamic compliance risk assessments with the KSA E&C manager and integrate mitigating measures into business processes
• Support localization of E&C procedures and contribute to global procedure updates
• Drive monitoring plans, root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions across finance, HR, medical, marketing and sales
• Communicate compliance training needs and the state of control to leadership, and ensure processes align with Global Policies and Standards
• Lead, with the CFO, the implementation and follow-up of CAS audits locally
• Influence business decisions to include ethics and compliance considerations, and represent Lilly before regulators and in the local industry association
• Review and agree compliance terms for new business deals, and coach and develop people in E&C

Required profile

• At least 10+ years of industry experience leading legal and/or ethics and compliance, with knowledge of local laws, regulations and codes; pharmaceutical or healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Solid business knowledge and leadership experience, with the ability to influence all areas of the affiliate
• Bachelor's degree
• No compliance violations in the last 12 months
