Senior HotScan Technical Consultant

About the role

The Senior HotScan Technical Consultant leads the design, implementation and ongoing support of HotScan sanctions screening solutions for banking and financial services organisations. This role ensures that screening workflows, integrations and reporting meet regulatory requirements while delivering operational efficiency and fraud prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end HotScan implementation, upgrade, enhancement and support projects.
• Configure and administer HotScan environments across Development, UAT, DR and Production.
• Conduct workshops to translate compliance requirements into technical solutions.
• Design screening workflows, matching algorithms, filtering rules, watchlists and case management processes.
• Develop and maintain customisations, business‑specific screening logic and false‑positive reduction strategies.
• Create custom reports, dashboards and compliance metrics.
• Manage HotScan upgrade and migration activities, including testing and production rollout.
• Design and develop integrations with Core Banking, CIF, payment systems, SWIFT, AML platforms and case management solutions.
• Support API development, web‑services integration, batch interfaces, data mapping and transformation.
• Perform system tuning, optimisation and performance improvements.
• Support SIT, UAT, regression, performance testing and post‑go‑live stabilisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Oracle Database and Oracle SQL/PLSQL certifications.
• Additional certifications in AML, financial‑crime compliance or sanctions screening are a plus.
• At least 6 years of IT experience with hands‑on HotScan implementation, configuration and support.
• Proven track record delivering HotScan upgrade projects.
• Experience with AML, sanctions screening and financial‑crime compliance platforms.
