Senior Information Technology Officer

About the role

The Senior Information Technology Officer is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring systems, networks, and end‑user services remain available, secure, and reliable. This role combines hands‑on technical support with strategic project leadership to drive continuous improvement and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain servers, networks, hardware, and overall IT infrastructure.
• Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
• Administer user accounts, access rights, permissions, and IT asset inventories.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support and maintenance contracts.
• Implement and uphold IT security policies, backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Support implementation, upgrades, and integration of IT systems and applications.
• Document IT procedures, produce reports, and maintain accurate inventories.
• Lead or contribute to IT projects, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or technical support.
• Strong knowledge of networks, servers, Microsoft 365, and Windows environments.
• Experience with IT security, backup solutions, and asset management.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, or Cisco are preferred.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
