Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will lead risk‑based audit engagements across the Expo Riyadh 2030 lifecycle, delivering independent assurance, advice and insight to the Board, ARC and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit planning, develop audit programs, risk matrices and information requests.
• Conduct fieldwork, including walkthroughs, control testing, sampling and data‑analytics‑driven testing.
• Prepare high‑quality working papers, draft findings and contribute to audit reports and ARC reporting packs.
• Perform follow‑up reviews to ensure management actions are implemented and track open audit actions.
• Assist with special reviews, fraud investigations and advisory engagements in line with anti‑fraud policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of internal or external audit experience, including fieldwork and report preparation.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred or actively pursuing certification.
• High standards of integrity, objectivity and professional skepticism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of IIA Standards and relevant control frameworks.
• Strong analytical abilities and advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in data‑analytics‑driven testing and continuous auditing techniques.
• Effective stakeholder management and ability to meet fixed deadlines.
