Senior Key Account Manager – Modern Trade

About the role

The Senior Key Account Manager – Modern Trade will drive the execution of the company’s sales strategy for modern trade channels across Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be accountable for meeting monthly and quarterly sales and collection targets while ensuring promotional calendars are aligned with key customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the channel manager in preparing the annual sales budget and detailed customer targets.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans to grow the customer base and achieve sales goals.
• Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of the key account management team.
• Prepare, propose, and control financial and resource requirements for the sales budget.
• Plan and execute promotional calendars, ensuring 100% shelf availability and contractual shelf space.
• Present quarterly business review reports to customers, highlighting achievements, opportunities, and challenges.
• Run quarterly reconciliations, reduce bad returns, and maintain accurate tracking for management.
• Schedule and conduct visits to customer head offices and branches to secure prime product locations.
• Maintain strong relationships with buyers, category managers, supply‑chain, accounting, and store managers across KSA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 10+ years of sales experience in FMCG, including at least 4 years as a Key Accounts Manager.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong skills in MS PowerPoint.
• Competent use of MS Word.
