Senior Materials Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Materials Engineer to join our Riyadh team. You will lead material selection, testing and quality assurance for metro infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with strict performance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and select materials based on performance, cost and sustainability criteria.
• Conduct comprehensive laboratory testing and analysis using mechanical and non‑destructive methods.
• Develop material specifications, testing protocols and quality‑control procedures aligned with international standards.
• Collaborate with design, construction and procurement teams to resolve material‑related issues.
• Analyse failure modes, perform root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage supplier relationships to guarantee consistent quality and timely delivery.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience in materials engineering.
• Strong knowledge of material properties, behavior and performance in construction applications.
• Proficiency with laboratory procedures, mechanical testing and non‑destructive testing equipment.
• Experience developing specifications and quality‑assurance processes.
