Senior Planner

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead planning and scheduling activities on a major roads and highways construction project in Riyadh. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to develop robust project plans, allocate resources and monitor progress.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of project plans, including scope definition, work breakdown structure, schedule and resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar tools.
• Coordinate resource allocation across multiple projects to optimise utilisation.
• Identify risks and constraints, propose mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Track progress against milestones, report deviations and drive corrective actions.
• Communicate status, risks and issues to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Ensure planning deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
