Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the development and management of the project planning and progress control system, ensuring alignment with contractual dates and internal baselines. This role supports the Project Manager in decision‑making throughout both the bid and execution phases.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a comprehensive planning system, monitoring deviations and estimating time impacts.
• Develop the Road Map Program, internal WBS/PBS, and detailed schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, offshore transport, installation, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Perform gap analysis between client‑provided schedules and internal plans, highlighting critical risks for proposal decisions.
• Prepare baseline programs, track progress, manage changes, and provide KPI analysis, trend simulations and physical progress calculations.
• Support invoicing packages, collect documentation, and define start‑up action plans including WBS/CBS and project procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project planning and control within construction or engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequences, activity weighting and efficiency metrics.
• Ability to analyse deviations, estimate impacts and monitor corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills to create schedule awareness among all project participants.
