Sr. Leading Architect

About the role

Assystem is seeking a Senior Leading Architect to head the architectural discipline for complex energy infrastructure projects in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role combines team leadership, design management, and regulatory compliance to deliver high‑quality, sustainable architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and allocate architectural activities across projects, mentor architects and designers, and monitor design productivity and milestones.
• Oversee the development of architectural designs from concept studies through detailed design, including master planning, space planning, façade, interior coordination, and life‑safety planning.
• Ensure all architectural documentation meets Saudi Building Code, Civil Defense, accessibility, municipality, and international standards (IBC, NFPA, ISO, etc.).
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs with structural, civil, MEP, HVAC, fire‑life safety, and sustainability teams to achieve fully integrated designs.
• Drive BIM implementation within the architectural discipline, manage model LOD/LOI, and lead clash‑detection and digital design reviews.
• Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance to guarantee compliance before final submission.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading architectural teams on large‑scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi regulatory frameworks (Saudi Building Code, Civil Defense, accessibility, municipality requirements) and international building standards.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination and deliver design packages on schedule.
• Strong expertise in BIM processes and digital design tools.

Required skills

• BIM modelling and coordination (LOD/LOI, clash detection).
• Architectural design and documentation (plans, sections, elevations, façade details).
• Compliance with Saudi Building Code and related authority requirements.
• Familiarity with international standards such as IBC, NFPA, ISO.
• Use of digital design tools for visualization and presentation.
