Senior Planning Engineer – Project Scheduling

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to lead the development, monitoring and control of project schedules for large‑scale construction and infrastructure programmes in Riyadh. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource use.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules and work breakdown structures (WBS) using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules in coordination with project teams and establish milestones, timelines and deliverables.
• Monitor progress, update schedules regularly and produce weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Analyse schedule variances, identify delays, conduct risk and delay analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, participate in progress meetings and ensure planning aligns with contract requirements.
• Assist in resource allocation, manpower planning and track performance against schedule and budget.
• Maintain accurate planning documentation and ensure compliance with project management standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably on large construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple timelines.
