Senior Planning Manager

About the role

KBR is recruiting a Senior Planning Manager in Riyadh for a major mixed-use development project, described as a global landmark. The project is part of a large infrastructure programme, and KBR provides PMO services, enterprise-level governance, assurance, integration and performance oversight across all projects and programmes. Reporting to the Project Controls Director, the Senior Planning Manager coordinates with PMCs on overall planning, scheduling and coordination, and defines, maintains and implements the requirements and standards for using Primavera P6.

Key responsibilities

• Define, maintain and implement the EPPM P6 EPS hierarchy and levels in line with the approved WBS, assigning each node to the relevant PMCs
• Align planning tools, PMIS (SharePoint), DWH and cost/reporting platforms, and support enhancements to planning and reporting tools
• Manage the P6 environment, including EPS nodes, IMS and monthly archiving, and maintain a weightage system for progress roll-up and a P6/EPS change log
• Develop and maintain the programme and portfolio-level Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and the Development Master Schedule, covering all scope from initiation to closeout
• Produce and update the IMS baseline package, monthly IMS pack, schedule performance analysis, cash flow, resource profiles, delay analysis and mitigation trackers
• Verify district and asset schedules, manage inter-project interfaces and dependencies, and approve PMC L3 baseline schedules and their changes
• Monitor PMC progress, validate forecasts and recovery plans, and perform schedule quality reviews and audits
• Capture lessons learned and support training, guidance and mentoring for PMCs and internal teams

Required profile

• BSc in construction management, engineering, planning or management
• Minimum 15 years of post-graduation experience
• Professional membership and chartered status required
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

• Primavera P6, PERT master and MS Office
• CPM networks, resource and cost loading, and risk management techniques
• Excellent report writing skills
