Senior / Principal Jet Fuel Engineer

About the role

Sur​bana Jurong is seeking a Senior/Principal Jet Fuel Engineer to lead the design review, construction oversight, and project management of aviation fuel systems in airport environments. The role ensures compliance with international standards while delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Review engineering designs, drawings, models and technical specifications against ICAO, NFPA, API, ASTM, JIG and local standards.
• Manage projects from initiation through testing, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Prepare RFP documents, including scope, BOQs and evaluation criteria.
• Lead technical evaluations of proposals and handle bidder queries.
• Monitor schedules, budgets and overall performance, coordinating with project controls teams.
• Engage with clients, contractors, consultants and designers to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in aviation fuel systems projects.
• Proven experience in design review, construction oversight and project management.
• Strong knowledge of international fuel standards (ICAO, NFPA, API, ASTM, JIG).
• Experience in airport projects, PMC or consulting environments is preferred.
