Senior Sales Engineer

About the role

The Senior Sales Engineer will drive profitable growth in the assigned territory by building strong customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and delivering value‑based solutions for Caterpillar equipment. The role requires end‑to‑end management of the sales process while ensuring compliance and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop opportunities within the territory to meet sales targets.
• Maintain regular engagement with customers and provide proactive account management.
• Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through order closure.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer needs.
• Negotiate commercial terms within approved authority limits while protecting profitability.
• Keep accurate CRM records, forecasts, and market intelligence.
• Collaborate with product support, parts, service, finance, and credit teams to deliver complete solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments to uncover growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, governance, and ethical selling standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent business/technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of heavy‑equipment sales experience with a proven record of achieving targets.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Strong knowledge of Caterpillar products, applications, financing terms, and lifecycle value drivers.
