Senior Sales Manager - EDITION Hotels

About the role

This full-time position is responsible for proactively soliciting business, especially large groups and other customer segments with significant revenue potential. The role up-sells opportunities to maximise revenue for individual properties, aligns customers with the right products and achieves personal and team revenue goals. It is advertised under the EDITION brand, part of Marriott International.

Key responsibilities

• Target accounts, markets and segments with a strong focus on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
• Manage larger and more complex incoming opportunities, and respond to and qualify new business to meet revenue goals.
• Develop sales plans and actions, and work with partners on creative event proposals.
• Maximise revenue by upselling packages and closing opportunities based on market conditions and property needs.
• Build relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips and trade shows, and with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and support contracts, write proposals and customer correspondence, and uphold brand and property standards throughout the sales process.
• Take part in site visits and use the intranet for resources, templates and information.

Required profile

• A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major, with 5 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related field.
• Or a 4-year bachelor's degree in one of those fields, with 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related field.
