Senior Site Structural Engineer – Mining Projects

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural and infrastructure design for a new gold mine and processing facility in Saudi Arabia. The role combines on‑site engineering, design development, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design building structures, equipment foundations, pipe and cable‑tray supports for mining facilities.
• Produce, revise, and check engineering deliverables against company standards and checklists.
• Supervise junior engineers and manage team billability.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and other disciplines to integrate inputs and ensure quality.
• Conduct site visits, verify conditions, and perform as‑built activities.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and manage submission of deliverables.
• Evaluate technical bids, review vendor documents, and manage subcontract scopes.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, preferably in the mining industry.
• Proven field engineering experience on site‑based projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering, construction, and field operations for industrial or mining projects.
