Senior Specialist, Logistics Procurement

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Logistics Procurement will support inbound and outbound logistics procurement, ensuring cost‑effective transportation, supplier coordination and compliance with production and distribution needs. You will work closely with logistics service providers, internal teams and senior management to optimise supply‑chain efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with logistics service providers and suppliers.
• Support contract negotiations and establish service agreements that deliver cost‑effectiveness and high‑quality service.
• Optimize transportation operations across trucking, rail and ocean freight, selecting routes, modes and carriers.
• Monitor freight market trends to mitigate risks and capture cost‑saving opportunities.
• Align production schedules with inbound deliveries and outbound distribution to ensure on‑time dispatch.
• Track logistics KPIs (on‑time delivery, transportation costs, inventory accuracy) and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with customs, regulatory and trade‑compliance standards.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Support ERP and logistics system implementations to improve data accuracy and visibility.
• Collaborate with production, finance and operations teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics procurement or a related field.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with logistics management systems.
