Senior Technical Manager – Offshore Fleet Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead the strategic and technical oversight of fleet equipment, maintenance, and reliability for a major offshore drilling operator in Saudi Arabia. The role will drive compliance, longevity and continuous improvement across the offshore rig asset base.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategy, goals and standards for Technical Support, Well Control, and Maintenance & Reliability.
• Manage department budgets, resources and tools, including SAP CMMS rollout across the fleet.
• Oversee offshore Field Support teams ensuring mechanical, electrical and well‑control integrity.
• Develop a 5‑year equipment inspection and maintenance philosophy.
• Provide technical input for annual maintenance budgets and lead downtime incident investigations.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies for rig implementation and support SPS, reactivation and upgrade projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas experience, including at least 5 years in a technical managerial role.
• Proven leadership in offshore technical troubleshooting, maintenance and project management.
