Shipping Operations Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Shipping Operations Officer to manage our international sea and air freight activities. The role involves coordinating with clients, sales teams and agents to ensure smooth execution of export and import shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Receive pricing requests, record shipment details and prepare quotations for clients, sales teams and international agents.
• Execute sea and air freight bookings, arrange loading, submit VGM, prepare shipping instructions and review draft bills of lading.
• Follow up export shipments from booking to sailing, coordinating with transporters and customs brokers.
• Monitor import shipments, liaise with shipping lines or origin agents and verify shipping documents until arrival.
• Review invoices and operational documents, and provide daily status reports to the manager.

Required profile

• Practical experience in international freight operations, covering both import and export procedures.
• Familiarity with shipping lines, international agents and customs brokers.
• Strong attention to detail, quick response capability and ability to resolve daily operational issues efficiently.
