Sous Chef

About the role

The Sous Chef will work on‑site in Riyadh, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high‑quality, consistent menus that reflect Absolute Taste’s fresh and simple food philosophy. This contract role involves hands‑on kitchen leadership, coordination with front‑of‑house teams, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily kitchen operations and coordinate food preparation for high‑volume catering events.
• Assist the Head Chef in menu development, plating, and presentation.
• Train, mentor and delegate tasks to junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Manage stock levels, order ingredients, and maintain kitchen organization to meet event timelines.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie in hotels, restaurants, or event catering.
• Strong culinary background with the ability to work evenings, weekends and event schedules.
• Saudi nationality.
• Relevant culinary qualification or formal chef training is preferred.
