Special Education Specialist

About the role

The Special Education Specialist will design and implement individualized education and intervention plans for children and adults facing communication, language, behavioral, and learning challenges at LLSC in Jeddah. This is a full‑time, on‑site position that works closely with speech therapists, psychologists, and families to ensure skill transfer to the home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored educational materials.
• Deliver one‑on‑one and small‑group instructional sessions.
• Track progress using evidence‑based methods such as Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Document case details and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Support early‑skill development and behavior‑modification programs offered by the center.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in special education, education, psychology, or a related field.
• Experience designing individualized education plans for diverse learners.
• Knowledge of learning difficulties, developmental disorders, and inclusive practices.
• Ability to plan structured sessions, monitor data, and adjust strategies.
• Professional ethics, cultural sensitivity, and family‑centered care.
• Fluency in Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Previous experience in clinical, school, or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
