Storekeeper – Spare Parts & Inventory for Heavy Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Storekeeper to manage spare parts and inventory for a fleet of over 300 mobile elevating work platforms and power generators. Reporting to the Operations / Supply Chain Manager, you will ensure the technical team has the right parts to minimise equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 100 % stock accuracy in the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred).
• Perform regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits.
• Organise warehouse layout for efficient space utilisation and fast retrieval of high‑turnover items.
• Monitor stock levels, generate purchase requisitions and follow up with suppliers.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Control the “Parts Issue” process, scanning items and allocating them to equipment IDs or job cards.
• Assist technicians using manufacturer parts manuals (JLG, Dingli, Caterpillar, etc.).
• Track service kits for preventive‑maintenance schedules.
• Maintain records of GRNs, delivery notes and issue vouchers.
• Manage returns of core or defective parts for warranty claims and ensure warehouse safety standards.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of storekeeping experience in the rental, heavy‑equipment or automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of parts for AWPs (JLG, Dingli) and generators (Caterpillar, Kubota).
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
