Structures Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

KBR supports the U.S. Air Force under the AFCAP V program, providing engineering support services to the 378th ECES, including installation engineering, asset management and real property support at Prince Sultan Air Base. The Structures Technician supports Sub-Activity Management and Asset Visibility Services by providing system-level expertise and field support for facility condition assessments, inventory accuracy and sustainment requirements. The role contributes directly to the BIAT function and supports SMS BUILDER data quality, assessment completeness and maintenance strategy development.

Key responsibilities

• Support Sub-AMP-level asset visibility and requirements development for structural portfolios
• Conduct and document condition assessments using SMS BUILDER standards and the 9-point rating method
• Assist with inventory creation, updates and discrepancy correction, including facilities lacking RPUIDs
• Execute data quality tasks such as QA-15A/QA-15B discrepancy resolution workflows
• Support quarterly Sub-AMP working groups, including risk-based maintenance strategy discussions and minute input
• Coordinate with Operations Flight shops and SMEs to align PM/CM planning and prioritize work
• Reconcile RP/RPIE inventory discrepancies between SMS and base records
• Provide system-level inputs to AMP Managers on IPL, execution planning and investment recommendations

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a current U.S. driver's license
• Passport book (not card) with at least 13 months of validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages
• Valid U.S. SECRET security clearance
• Fluent reading, writing, speaking and understanding of English
• Meets CENTCOM MOD-15 theater requirements
• Air Force minimum 5-level (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience in the structures trade
• AFIT: WENG 200, WENG 440, WMGT 231 or WMGT 417
• Ability to obtain and maintain access for role-based SMS activities (assessor/read-only as assigned)

Required skills

• Experience executing inspections and assessments and documenting findings accurately
• Preferred: prior BUILDER assessor experience and familiarity with Uniformat II / NISTIR 6389 terminology
• Preferred: experience supporting BIAT-style assessment teams and OCONUS/expeditionary base environments
