Technical Document Controller

About the role

ABIS is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Document Controller to join its team in Al Jubail. The role manages and maintains all technical documents related to projects, keeping them accurate, up to date and easy to access for stakeholders. It works with engineering, project management and other departments to ensure efficient document flow and compliance with company and client standards, and supports smooth project execution and audit-ready records.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, register and distribute technical documents according to the company's document control procedures.
• Maintain the document management system so that all files are correctly archived and easily retrievable.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission and approval of documents.
• Ensure compliance with project and client documentation standards.
• Prepare and maintain document logs, status reports and distribution lists.
• Assist in audits and inspections related to document control processes.
• Provide training and support on document control procedures to team members as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or relevant Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Document Controller or similar role, preferably in engineering or construction projects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and procedures is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with document management systems (DMS) and software such as Microsoft Office, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
