Testing & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The role involves on‑site oversight of testing and commissioning activities for substation and protection systems, ensuring safety, technical accuracy, and proper documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Witness and supervise all testing and commissioning activities at the site according to project specifications.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures throughout commissioning phases.
• Maintain the Commissioning System Documentation (CSD) filing system.
• Inspect and verify installation and operation of substation equipment such as switchgear and transformers.
• Perform and witness configuration, logic, and functional testing of protection relays.
• Participate in testing and commissioning of Substation Automation Systems (SAS).
• Conduct or support electrical fault analysis, interpreting event and disturbance records.
• Prepare accurate commissioning records, test reports, and issue logs.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and client representatives to resolve technical issues on‑site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems, especially substation and protection equipment.
• Hands‑on experience with substation automation and large‑scale utility projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting abilities.
