Thermal Design Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Thermal Design Engineer to support Oil & Gas projects, focusing on the design, selection and performance analysis of heat exchangers. The role involves working on EPC projects, including Saudi Aramco specifications, to deliver reliable thermal solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Select, size and thermally design heat exchangers using HTRI software.
• Perform material selection and design optimisation for various equipment.
• Conduct vibration analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate heat‑exchanger performance under different operating conditions.
• Ensure compliance with ASME and TEMA codes throughout the design process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Thermal Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in thermal design, troubleshooting and heat‑exchanger performance analysis.
• Previous experience in the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry, preferably within EPC environments.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco project specifications.

Required skills

• HTRI software for heat‑exchanger design.
• Heat‑exchanger selection and sizing (shell‑and‑tube, plate, air‑cooled, etc.).
• Material selection and design optimisation.
• Vibration analysis and mitigation.
• Performance evaluation under variable conditions.
