Transportation Manager

About the role

The Transportation Manager will lead the planning, coordination and optimisation of transportation activities for multiple construction projects. You will oversee a large fleet of light and heavy vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance and cost‑effective operations to support project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a fleet of 300–1,000+ vehicles and heavy equipment, developing strategies to maximise utilisation and efficiency.
• Plan and supervise daily transportation operations, optimise routing, dispatch and vehicle allocation across sites.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, coordinate with workshops, and control spare‑parts inventory.
• Prepare and monitor transportation budgets, fuel consumption and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi traffic regulations, company HSE policies and maintain registration, insurance and inspection records.
• Lead a team of supervisors, dispatchers, coordinators and drivers, setting performance objectives and delivering training.
• Produce monthly reports on fleet utilisation, availability, maintenance performance, fuel efficiency, costs and safety statistics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration or related field; professional certifications in Fleet Management or Logistics preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation and fleet management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in large construction, EPC, infrastructure or contracting environments and managing fleets of 300+ vehicles.
• Strong background in fleet maintenance, workshop operations and multi‑project transportation coordination.
