VP Systems Development

About the role

The leading financial institution in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Vice President of Systems Development to lead its Riyadh IT operations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and continuous improvement of critical banking platforms and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Riyadh Systems team, ensuring reliable delivery of IT services and infrastructure support.
• Oversee critical banking systems such as SARIE and Tantfeeth/Watheeq, guaranteeing uptime, compliance and swift incident resolution.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulators, vendors and internal stakeholders on all systems‑related matters.
• Maintain robust cybersecurity, disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement in systems operations, documentation and team development.
• Support audits, risk assessments and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to align local systems with broader technology strategies.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in IT systems management within financial services.
• Proven track record managing infrastructure, incidents and regulatory systems in a banking environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Deep understanding of Saudi regulatory frameworks and IT governance.
