Account Director – Client Leadership Lead

About the role

The Account Director will lead and manage high‑profile client accounts, delivering integrated communications strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. This senior role combines client leadership, strategic communications, team management, commercial growth, and operational discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple high‑profile client accounts, ensuring high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, media, influencers, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Develop and implement integrated communications strategies and engagement plans aligned with client objectives.
• Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, media pitches, speeches, reports, presentations and other communications materials.
• Monitor campaign performance using relevant metrics, analytics tools and reporting frameworks, providing clear insights and recommendations.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow existing client relationships through upselling, cross‑selling and expanded scopes of work.
• Support new business development through proposals, pitches, presentations and client engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional and international media outlets, managing a media and influencer database.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading high‑profile client accounts in public relations, communications or a related field.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, media, influencers and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated communications strategies that meet business objectives.
• Commercial acumen with a track record of identifying growth opportunities and delivering revenue targets.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, able to resolve client‑related challenges quickly and professionally.
