About the role

The Dean of IT provides strategic and academic leadership for the College of Information Technology, ensuring the continuous development and quality of IT programmes in line with the university’s strategic objectives and industry needs. This senior position oversees academic programs, faculty performance, research initiatives, accreditation, and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the College of IT and its academic programmes.
• Develop and implement academic strategies and plans.
• Oversee faculty recruitment, performance, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and quality‑assurance standards.
• Promote research, innovation, and collaboration with the technology industry.
• Enhance student experience, academic quality, and graduate employability.
• Manage the College’s budget and academic resources.
• Represent the College in internal and external academic and professional engagements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior academic leadership within information technology or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accreditation processes and quality‑assurance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to foster research, innovation and industry partnerships.
• Excellent management, budgeting and resource allocation skills.
• Track record of enhancing student outcomes and graduate employability.
