Director of Finance – Pre-Opening Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Ritz‑Carlton Diriyah is preparing to open its flagship luxury hotel in the historic city of Diriyah, Riyadh. As Director of Finance you will join the Executive Committee and act as the principal financial strategist for the pre‑opening phase and beyond, ensuring the property meets its financial targets while supporting world‑class guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hotel’s financial strategy aligned with ownership and brand goals.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and business analysis to maximise profitability.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the General Manager and Executive Committee on risks, opportunities and performance trends.
• Oversee all accounting, reporting, audit, compliance, tax and internal control processes.
• Manage working capital, cash flow and financial resources in line with Marriott standards.
• Identify and implement cost‑optimisation initiatives while preserving luxury service standards.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing finance team, fostering succession and professional development.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, corporate stakeholders and operational leaders.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience in luxury hospitality or comparable high‑end service environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance, strategic planning and governance.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of cost optimisation and profitability improvement.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to advise senior executives and owners.
