Intern - HQ Science, Technology & Innovation

About the role

The internship provides practical exposure to technology deployment, market analysis, and innovation assessment within the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Technology Deployment Cooperation Program. The intern will support technology screening, benchmarking, database development, and the preparation of analytical and decision‑support materials for development‑oriented technology initiatives in IsDB Member Countries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in establishing technology and provider databases and preparing screening summaries.
• Develop comparative analysis matrices and market‑sounding notes, and create presentation slides.
• Support market‑sounding calls by conducting background research, mapping global providers, and tracking submissions.
• Review and compile submissions, perform initial eligibility screening, and populate structured databases.
• Conduct TECH‑based analysis and benchmarking against innovation, sustainability, and transformational potential criteria.

Required profile

• Graduated with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree within the past 12 months.
• Strong research and analytical abilities with an interest in development solutions.
• Excellent written communication in English; Arabic or French is a plus.
• Attention to detail, structured working style, and ability to synthesize information.
