Machine Operator – Cable Manufacturing

About the role

The Machine Operator will work on production lines that manufacture cables, handling equipment such as extrusion, stranding, bunching, armouring, laying, and wire drawing machines. The role focuses on meeting production targets while maintaining product quality, safety standards, and machine efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Operate cable manufacturing machines according to production schedules.
• Set up machines for specific cable sizes, types, and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, ensure smooth flow, and record daily production data.
• Perform basic adjustments, troubleshooting, and support preventive maintenance.
• Inspect raw materials before loading and verify product quality against company and customer standards.
• Report breakdowns, defects, and safety concerns immediately.
• Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and stores teams.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Production, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in cable manufacturing or similar industrial production.
• Ability to work under pressure, follow shift schedules, and adhere to safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
