OpenShift Engineer

About the role

The OpenShift Engineer will design, deploy, and manage Red Hat OpenShift environments for enterprise containerized workloads. You will ensure platform availability, scalability, performance, and security while working closely with internal teams and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure and maintain OpenShift clusters on bare‑metal and virtual platforms.
• Administer Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, handling installation, upgrades, scaling, backup, recovery and decommissioning.
• Troubleshoot platform, container, infrastructure and application issues.
• Automate provisioning and operational tasks using Ansible, GitOps, ArgoCD and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate OpenShift with networking components such as load balancers, DNS, firewalls and MetalLB.
• Configure storage integrations (SAN, NFS, Ceph, OpenShift Data Foundation).
• Implement security and compliance controls (RBAC, IAM, image security, vulnerability and secrets management).
• Monitor health, capacity and performance with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk and ELK Stack.
• Document architecture, procedures, standards and runbooks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts (pods, deployments, services, operators, namespaces).
• Solid Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
