Procurement Manager of Material & Equipment (GCC)

About the role

The Procurement Manager of Material & Equipment will lead the sourcing and acquisition of warehousing and logistics supplies across the GCC region. This role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution to ensure the right materials, consumables and equipment are available to support operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and implement procurement strategies for non‑production categories.
• Oversee procurement of warehousing and logistics materials and equipment, including consumables, turnover items and handling equipment; manage demand communication, supplier development, tendering, contract signing, acceptance and evaluation.
• Manage project operations and commercial aspects such as price management, negotiations, contract and risk management, and resolve procurement challenges.
• Drive cost optimisation through total‑cost‑of‑ownership analysis and improve ROI of tendering processes.
• Collect and analyse market and industry information, develop SOPs and provide a basis for strategic procurement decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 5 years of procurement or logistics experience, preferably in internet/retail/logistics supply‑chain procurement, especially equipment procurement.
• Proven ability to independently manage large procurement projects and the full warehousing and logistics procurement process, including risk assessment.
• Strong organisational, coordination and communication abilities; high learning agility, team spirit, dedication, analytical and problem‑solving capability; excellent summarisation, reporting and execution skills; ability to work under high pressure.
• Proficiency in business English (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
