Transportation Manager

About the role

The Transportation Manager will lead and coordinate all logistics, asset inventory, transportation, and customer service activities. This role ensures shipments are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time while upholding Nahwasharq’s policies and high standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and recommend the transportation department budget and conduct financial analysis.
• Monitor financial performance against budget, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
• Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Produce timely and accurate reports for company and department needs.
• Analyze logistics to determine the most cost‑effective transportation methods.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including tracking, documentation, and customs clearance.
• Monitor goods insurance coverage and handle insurance claims.
• Communicate freight information using transportation management and electronic logistics systems.
• Lead inventory management, define strategies for optimal stock levels, and reduce obsolete material.
• Control asset inventory to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Coordinate lead‑time management with suppliers.
• Interact with the Ministry of Commerce and city municipality to address regulatory issues and licensing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transportation and logistics management.
• Strong analytical and financial budgeting skills.
• Knowledge of customs clearance, insurance processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to oversee inventory and asset management.
• Effective communication with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and government agencies.
