Workplace Health and Safety Officer – Site WHS

About the role

The Site WHS Officer partners with the delivery station operations team to implement Amazon safety policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and create a safe working environment for all Associates. Using lean principles and continuous‑improvement techniques, you will reduce ergonomic and conditional risks across site processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with Amazon WHS standards and local regulations.
• Measure site safety performance, identify deficiencies and develop corrective plans.
• Deliver on‑time safety projects and support Operations Leaders with WHS policy implementation.
• Analyse safety metrics, review incident trends and allocate resources to high‑risk areas.
• Conduct frequent safety audits, investigate incidents and close corrective and preventive actions.
• Train Operations staff on WHS policies and best‑practice safety methodologies.

Required profile

• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to a fast‑paced site environment.
• Thorough understanding of local/regional safety regulations and Amazon policies.
