AFR Operations Specialist – Logistics & Freight

About the role

The AFR Operations Specialist will be the first point of contact for customers, handling shipment information, incidents, pricing, and claims. Based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, you will ensure shipments are managed in line with service commitments while maintaining high data quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary customer contact for shipment queries, incident management, ad‑hoc pricing and claims.
• Capture correct costs and revenues against customer profiles and resolve simple to complex issues.
• Administer shipment activities including booking receipt, documentation, and coordination of local and international transport.
• Track, record, analyse and improve operational exceptions and irregularities.
• Implement regulatory compliance procedures for commodities and locations.
• Route and assign shipments to appropriate consolidations to meet service commitments and maximise profit.
• Identify critical shipments and provide hyper‑care support for new business.
• Prepare invoices, debit/credit notes and supporting documentation ensuring timely and accurate billing.
• Investigate invoice disputes, resolve recurring issues and suggest process enhancements.
• Resolve supplier performance issues and propose solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of logistics or freight forwarding experience.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships and handle complex shipment issues.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and resource management in an international freight environment.
