Aircraft Mechanic III Powerplant/Engine MH-60

About the role

A skilled H-60 powerplant and engine mechanic is needed to perform planned maintenance interval inspections (PMI) and organizational, intermediate and depot-level maintenance on MH-60 helicopters. The work covers troubleshooting, testing and repair of hydraulic components, flight controls, pumps, landing gear, tires and hydraulic, pneumatic and pressurized systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair major assemblies, subassemblies and hydraulic, pneumatic and related systems
• Inspect, troubleshoot, detect faults and isolate them on hydraulic components and related systems, then take corrective action
• Complete all maintenance documentation, forms, records and reports using the NAMP and other publications
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment and use common, special and precision tools for powerplant maintenance
• Provide on-the-job training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and other personnel and keep training records
• Perform minor preservation on components and blades, and inspect main mounts, tail wheel shocks and struts for cracks, damage, leaks and lubrication

Required profile

• 8 years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work, including inspection, assembly/disassembly, repair, troubleshooting and rig checks
• Ability to install, adjust, align and test major aircraft systems such as hydraulic servos, pumps, rotor blades and flight controls
• Knowledge of aircraft systems such as hydraulic, pneumatic, airframe, surface repair and landing gear
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams
• QAR/CDQAR, A&P license (not required if service-specific qualifications are validated), or military equivalent such as Technical Inspector, Restricted Technical Inspector or 7 level
• Must obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) background investigation, drug test and facility credentials; a secret clearance may be required

Required skills

• Use of precision measuring instruments, special tools, scales, test stands and external power sources
• Disassembly, reassembly and checkout of components and sub-systems
• Visual inspection for corrosion, improper wear and adjustments
