Android Mobile Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Android Mobile Engineer to lead the delivery of stable, scalable production Android applications. You will own the full lifecycle from architecture design to release automation, focusing on performance, security and observability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship production‑grade Android applications.
• Define Android architecture that ensures scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Integrate backend APIs, distributed services and third‑party SDKs, including media streaming and real‑time communication.
• Implement real‑time updates, push notifications, background sync and event‑driven flows.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, battery consumption, startup time and network efficiency.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, Play Store releases, versioning and staged rollouts.
• Drive crash monitoring, observability and incident resolution in production.
• Ensure app hardening, obfuscation, tamper resistance and threat detection.

Required profile

• Proven track record shipping production Android apps to Google Play Store.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android SDK/Jetpack components.
• Experience with media streaming or real‑time communication on Android.
• Strong understanding of Android performance, stability, memory, battery and network optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD, release automation and crash analysis.
• Background in secure mobile development and API integration.
