Area Sales Manager – Travel Retail (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Travel Retail is responsible for leading JTI’s travel retail business across Saudi Arabia. This includes airport duty‑free, ship handling, downtown duty‑free, border shops and emerging channels. The role focuses on driving sales, managing trade and consumer programs, and maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with JTI policies and Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement sales, distribution and marketing strategies, overseeing merchandising, shelf‑space and promotions.
• Gather and analyse sales, invoicing, order and stock data from customer IT systems; produce monthly KPI reports with actionable insights.
• Develop local account plans, support International Key Account (IKA) strategies and manage local agreements.
• Prepare and execute annual business plans, maintain an 18‑month rolling forecast and ensure market P&L delivery.
• Lead Retail Sales Consultants (RSC) activities, including recruitment, coaching and third‑party agency oversight.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, distribution, channel management or trade marketing, preferably in FMCG or travel retail.
• Experience with airport duty‑free, ship handling, downtown duty‑free or border shops is a strong advantage.
• Fluent English; Arabic a plus for local interactions.
