Armament Technician – Typhoon Aircraft (Supervisor)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Armament Technician Supervisor to lead weapons maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft in Taif, Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing scheduled maintenance, ensuring airworthiness, and supervising personnel on a 12‑18 month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled weapons maintenance on Typhoon aircraft, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, minor rectification and supervision of staff.
• Maintain technical quality and airworthiness by adhering to RSAF/DA technical publications, M&CA mandates and SMU QMS.
• Raise independent inspections and conduct vital or mandatory inspections as required.
• Perform daily inspections to meet programmed maintenance schedules.
• Assist with work environment, housekeeping, cleanliness and FOD control checks.
• Complete SMU forms, aircraft records and maintenance documentation.
• Support QA investigations arising from customer enquiries and complaints.
• Ensure all authorisations and training are current and highlight training needs.

Required profile

• Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship.
• NVQ/C&G Level 3 or equivalent technical qualification, or Part‑66 licence (current or lapsed).
• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification practical maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment, or at least 3 years on the Typhoon type.
• Relevant type training or Typhoon Q course and equipment‑specific training.

What we offer

• £315 per day rate (48 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday).
• Overtime available at normal day rate.

• Full‑time contract for 12‑18 months.
